A Brief Bio...
|
Pat Harrison is a Certified Judge and current Webmaster of the National Association of Certified Quilt Judges as well as having served as President and Candidate and Judge Coordinator of the association. She judges, teaches, and lectures nationally in addition to being an award-winning long-arm quilter, pattern designer, and author.
A retired school librarian and teacher, she has won numerous awards for her quilts at local, regional, and major international shows. Pat especially enjoys encouraging quilters of all skill levels to give greater thought to their design process and in so doing, elevating their art and the joy in its creation. As a judge she feels she’s in a unique position to encourage quilters through positive, customized evaluations of their art. |

Graduate (MLIS -1990) degree in Library and Information Science from The University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI
Twelve years as an Elementary School Library Media Specialist, Preschool - Grade 4 in Narragansett, RI
Undergraduate (BS -1973) and graduate degrees (MS -1977) in Home Economics Education with Textile concentration from The University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI
Seventeen years as a Home Economics Teacher of Textiles, International Foods, and Consumer Education to students of Grade 2 through adult in Narragansett, Rhode Island.
